The Display Technologies segment focuses on manufacturing glass substrates, primarily utilized in active matrix liquid crystal displays (LCDs) for devices like notebook computers, flat panel monitors, and televisions. Corning operates facilities in Kentucky, Japan, and Taiwan, and holds a 50% stake in Samsung Corning Precision Glass Co. Ltd. in South Korea. The proprietary fusion forming technology developed by Corning plays a significant role in producing high-quality glass substrates, which are primarily sold to LCD panel manufacturers in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.

Competitive Landscape
