His prior experience includes Senior Advisor at Whelan Advisory, CFO for WCI Communities, and senior finance roles at Meritage Homes Corporation and TOUSA, Inc. He began his career as an auditor at Ernst & Young LLP. He holds a Master of Accounting and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida State University, is a Certified Public Accountant and an inactive Certified Treasury Professional, and has served on Florida State University's Department of Accounting Professional Advisory Board since 2024. Brett A. Steele, age 56, is Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary since 2018. Previously, he was Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for Habitat for Humanity in Atlanta, Inc., Associate General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Beazer Homes USA, Inc., and an associate at King & Spalding. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Huntingdon College and a Juris Doctor from Mercer University. Julie Bradbury, age 51, is a Director and has served on the Board since formation. She has also been on Smith Douglas Holdings LLC’s board of managers since 2016.
