Ian Lowitt has served as Chief Executive Officer since January 2016 and has been a Board member since November 2012. He joined the company as Chief Financial Officer in 2012. Prior to this, he worked at Barclays Bank from 2008 to 2012 and Lehman Brothers from 1994 to 2008. He holds degrees from the University of Oxford and the University of Witwatersrand.
Rob Irvin was appointed Chief Financial Officer in March 2023 and joined the Board in May 2023. His previous experience includes roles at HSBC from 2011 to 2022 and Deloitte. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of York.
Paolo Tonucci has been Chief Strategist and CEO of Capital Markets since May 2023. He joined the company in 2018 as Chief Operating Officer and served as Chief Financial Officer from 2020 to 2023. His prior experience includes positions at Commonwealth Bank of Australia (2014–2018), Barclays (2008–2013), and Lehman Brothers (1996–2008). He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Master of Arts from the University of Cambridge.
Simon van den Born has been President since June 2019. He joined the company in 2010 as Managing Director and Global Head of Metals and was a Board member from 2016 to 2021. His previous roles include positions at Valhalla Capital Management (2004–2010) and Goldman Sachs (1994–2002).
Thomas Texier has been Group Head of Clearing since July 2020. He was Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at R.J. O’Brien’s London business from 2015 to 2020. His earlier roles include positions at Kyte Group London (2002–2015), FCT Europe Limited (2001–2002), and Société Générale in Japan (1997–2001). He holds a Master of Management from Kedge Business School.
Nilesh Jethwa is CEO of Marex Solutions, which was founded in 2017. He previously worked at Leonteq from 2008 to 2016 and Lehman Brothers from 2000 to 2008. He is a Trustee of Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice and holds a Master of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge.
