John Kanellitsas has served as Chair of the Company since June 2013, initially joining as an independent director. He has held various executive positions since September 2015, including Interim CEO from October 2023 to March 2024. Kanellitsas has over 30 years of experience in investment banking and asset management, co-founded Geologic Resource Partners, LLP, and holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University and an MBA from UCLA.
Samuel Pigott has been Chief Executive Officer since March 18, 2024, and a director since March 19, 2024. Prior to this, he was Head of Business Development at Ganfeng from October 2018 to March 2024 and has held senior roles in financial and investment banking institutions. Pigott holds an MBA from Oxford University and a BA in Economics and History from McGill University.
George Ireland has been Lead Director since November 2015. He has over 40 years of experience in mining and metals and is the founder of Geologic Resource Partners LLP. His previous roles include positions at Knott Partners LP, Cleveland Cliffs Inc., Chase Manhattan Bank, ASARCO Inc., and Ventures Trident LP. Ireland graduated from the University of Michigan and is a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists.
Diego Lopez Casanello has been a Director since October 2023. He has served as CEO of Farmers Business Network, Inc. since March 2024, Managing Partner of Vidavo Ventures since March 2022, and Executive Advisor to New Mountain Capital LLC since June 2021. Previously, he was President and COO of UPL Limited from March 2019 to May 2021 and CEO of Arysta LifeScience Corporation from February 2016 to February 2019. Lopez Casanello has served on the board of Profile Products LLC since November 2021 and began his career at BASF SE, holding senior executive roles across multiple regions.
