Hexcel's Comment on Sales, Marketing and Customers

The company operates in two primary markets: Commercial Aerospace and Defense, Space & Other. In 2025, Commercial Aerospace sales declined by 4.0% compared to 2024, mainly due to reduced sales for certain Airbus and Boeing programs, partially offset by increased sales in other commercial aerospace segments driven by regional jets. Demand in this market is influenced by airline passenger traffic, aircraft replacement rates, and the growing use of advanced composite materials. Defense, Space & Other sales rose by 5.4% in 2025 compared to 2024, led by military helicopters such as the Black Hawk and CH-53-K, along with other military aircraft structures, launchers, and satellites. The company reports two segments: Composite Materials and Engineered Products. Composite Materials sales decreased slightly, with commercial aerospace sales down due to Airbus and Boeing programs, while defense sales increased due to launchers. Engineered Products sales increased overall, driven by defense sales related to military helicopters and aircraft structures, offset by decreased commercial aerospace sales linked to softness in select Boeing programs. Customers mentioned include Airbus, Black Hawk, Boeing, and CH-53-K.
