- Richard H. Moore has been the Chairman of First Bancorp since 2014. He is a former North Carolina State Treasurer, Secretary of State, and state legislator. Moore has also served as a senior advisor to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Brighthouse Financial, Inc. He holds a law degree from the University of North Carolina.

She has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, including serving as the President and CEO of Asheville Savings Bank. DeFerie has also worked at several other banks in North Carolina, including Bank of America and Wachovia Corporation. She holds a bachelor s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
4. F. Stephen Potts

- F. Stephen Potts has been the Executive Vice President and CFO of First Bancorp since 2013. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, including serving as the CFO of Union Bankshares Corporation.
