The Evans Agency, LLC, a former subsidiary sold in 2023 to Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. and Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, LLC, was a full-service insurance agency offering personal, commercial, and financial services insurance products on a commission basis. Evans Bank's deposits were insured by the FDIC, and its operations were regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the Federal Reserve Board (FRB), and the FDIC. In 2024, Evans Bancorp announced a merger with NBT Bancorp Inc., with the transaction expected to close in 2025.
