Usa Rare Earth Inc's Comment on Supply Chain

Less Common Metals-Europe is planning a facility near Carester SAS’s Caremag oxide processing plant, which is scheduled to begin operations in late 2026. This development aims to establish an integrated European rare earth midstream hub. Less Common Metals specializes in rare earth element (REE) metallurgy and produces various rare earth metals and alloys. Its customer base includes clients in Europe, Japan, and North America, such as defense contractors and industrial users. The company has a strategic partnership with Solvay SA to supply rare earth metals to Permag LLC and Arnold Magnetic Technologies Corporation. The new facility intends to provide DFARS-compliant materials in anticipation of the 2027 ban on Chinese-origin REE magnets in U.S. weapons systems. Additionally, Less Common Metals plans to construct U.S. facilities by 2029 to produce sintered NdFeB permanent magnets at the Stillwater Facility.
