The company primarily utilizes southern yellow pine in its pressure-treating, housing, and packaging operations across the Southeastern United States, sourcing from mills located between Texas and the Carolinas. Additional wood species include spruce-pine-fir from Eastern and Western Canada; hemlock, Douglas fir, and cedar from the Pacific Northwest; inland pine species, plantation-grown radiata, and southern yellow pines from South America; and various European softwoods. In 2025, lumber purchases amounted to approximately $1.7 billion, comprising 75% southern yellow pine, 12% spruce-pine-fir, 4% Douglas fir, and 9% other species and imports outside North America. Purchases of plywood and other panel products were approximately $545 million and $464 million, respectively. The company sources from numerous primary producers and is not reliant on any single supplier.
