Carparts Com Inc's Comment on Supply Chain

The company employs two fulfillment methods: stock-and-ship and drop-ship. Stock-and-ship products are sourced primarily from manufacturers and suppliers in Asia, Europe, Mexico, the United States, and other countries, and are stored in distribution centers located in Illinois, Nevada, Texas, and Florida. Drop-ship fulfillment involves partnerships with several United States-based auto parts distributors who deliver products directly to customers. The company utilizes a proprietary system, Auto-Vend™, to electronically select vendors. It maintains a strategic partnership with ZongTeng Group to improve distribution efficiency and logistics. Products are sourced from two main regions: house brands from manufacturers and distributors in the Asia-Pacific region, and branded products from drop-ship manufacturers and distributors in the United States and Europe. House brands include JC Whitney®, Evan Fischer®, and Garage-Pro®, encompassing approximately 82,000 SKUs, primarily fulfilled through stock-and-ship. Branded products are mainly distributed via drop-ship arrangements with suppliers in the U.S. and Europe, supported by APIs for order and inventory management.
