Core Molding Technologies Inc's Comment on Supply Chain

The Company utilizes principal raw materials including unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester, polyethylene, polypropylene, dicyclopentadiene resins, fiberglass, various fillers, adhesives, in-mold coating, gel-coat, prime paint, and hardware. Many of these raw materials are petrochemical- or natural gas-based, resulting in cost fluctuations tied to commodity prices. Suppliers generally do not fix prices over contract terms. The Company maintains alternative suppliers for each raw material and regularly evaluates its supply base. Inventory levels are kept minimal to meet production and shipping schedules while managing supply risk. Capacity utilization is measured by large compression molding presses (2,000 tons or greater) and large injection molding presses (750 tons or greater), with utilization rates of 50% and 46%, respectively, in 2025. As of December 31, 2025, the Company owned 25 large compression molding presses and 12 large injection molding presses. Production schedules are provided weekly by customers and are firm for approximately four weeks, with some customers updating schedules daily to support just-in-time inventory management. The ordered backlog was approximately $16.8 million at the end of 2025 and was fully shipped in the first month of 2026.
