Wheaton Precious Metals's Comment on Sales, Marketing and Customers

The Peñasquito mine processes copper-bearing and lead minerals, with sulfosalts primarily reporting to the lead concentrate. Marketing contracts permit small percentages of deleterious elements in the final product, with penalties applied for exceedances. Blending strategies are employed to minimize financial impacts from deleterious elements, including mercury originating from a small fault zone. Organic carbon affects gold recovery and operating costs and is managed through a carbon depression scheme. Open pit mining utilizes conventional truck and shovel fleets, currently focusing on the Peñasco deposit. The mine has a remaining life of nine years, with annual mining rates planned through 2028. Water management and geotechnical studies support ongoing operations. Ore stockpiling is practiced. The mine supplies lead and copper concentrates to markets managed by marketing groups that oversee product quality and penalties related to deleterious elements. Customers identified in filings include Newmont and WHEATON.
