Alliant Energy serves approximately 1,010,000 electric and 435,000 natural gas customers in the Midwest through its subsidiaries Interstate Power and Light Company (IPL) and Wisconsin Power and Light Company (WPL). IPL provides electric service to about 505,000 retail customers and natural gas service to approximately 230,000 retail customers in Iowa, and sells electricity to wholesale customers in Iowa and Illinois. IPL also provided steam generation and distribution services to two customers in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, under contracts through 2025 but exited the steam business after that date. WPL serves approximately 505,000 electric and 205,000 natural gas retail customers in Wisconsin and sells electricity to wholesale customers in Wisconsin. Alliant Energy's non-utility holdings, managed under Alliant Energy Finance (AEF), include interests in transmission companies such as American Transmission Company (ATC), ATC Holdco LLC, ATC Holdings, and Duke-American Transmission Company, LLC. AEF also holds venture investments in energy technologies, a 50% ownership interest in a 225 MW non-utility wind farm in Oklahoma, and the Sheboygan Falls Energy Facility, a 347 MW natural gas-fired plant leased to WPL through 2044. Additionally, Travero, a supply chain solutions company providing rail freight services in Iowa and Illinois and freight brokerage services, is part of Alliant Energy's holdings.
