Core Scientific Inc's Comment on Sales, Marketing and Customers

Core Scientific operates data centers designed for power-intensive, mission-critical computing workloads, with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) applications. As of December 31, 2025, the company owned or leased ten data centers across seven U.S. states, providing approximately 920 megawatts (MW) of total leasable customer power capacity. Initially, Core Scientific concentrated on digital asset mining and hosting third-party digital asset mining customers. In 2024, the company shifted its strategy toward high-density colocation compute services, entering into long-term contracts with CoreWeave, Inc., resulting in approximately 590 MW of leased customer power capacity by early 2025. In 2025, most revenue was generated from earning digital assets for its own account, with expectations for significant revenue from high-density colocation in 2026. Core Scientific plans to convert its entire portfolio to high-density colocation infrastructure over the next three years while maintaining limited digital asset mining during the transition. Additionally, the company participates in the third-party colocation market by providing secure physical space, reliable power, cooling, and facility operations for customers who deploy and manage their own hardware, often using colocation to accelerate deployment, expand geographically, or optimize capital allocation.
