Armstrong Energy's Comment on Sales, Marketing and Customers



Our primary customers are electric utilities. We may also sell coal to industrial companies, brokers and other coal producers. Approximately 99% of our coal revenues related to sales to electric utilities. The majority of our electric utility customers purchase coal for terms of one to four years, but we also supply coal on a spot basis for some of our customers.
We sold coal to six domestic customers with operations located in numerous states. The majority of those customers operate power plants in the Midwestern and Southern regions of the United States.
