are subject to factors that affect the retail environment generally, including
the level of consumer spending and consumer confidence, the threat of terrorism
and increasing competition from discount retailers, outlet malls, retail websites
and catalog companies. These factors could adversely affect the financial condition
of our retail tenants and the retailer in which we hold an investment and the
willingness of retailers to lease space in our shopping centers, and in turn,
adversely affect us.
