Remy International, Inc. was founded in 1896 as the Remy Electric Company in Anderson, Indiana, by brothers Frank and Perry Remy. In 1964, Remy Electric was renamed the Remy Corporation, and in 1994, it was acquired by Delco Remy International, Inc.
