Compx International Inc
CompX International Inc. (NYSE American: CIX) recently released its financial results for the first quarter of 2024, and the numbers paint a challenging picture for the company. Net profit per share dropped by 36.73% to $0.31, primarily due to an 8.466% decrease in revenue to $37.67 million year on year. This is in stark contrast to the preceding reporting period, where CIX had revenue of $43.83 million and a bottom line of $-0.27 per share. The decline in net earnings is equally concerning. In the January to March 31, 2024 financial interval, net earnings fell by a staggering 76.7% to $3.754 million, compared to $16.110 million in the corresponding period a year before. This significant decline is a cause for alarm and must be addressed by the company as a matter of urgency.
