Christophe Weber (born November 14, 1966) is Representative Director, President, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Takeda. He joined Takeda in April 2014 as Chief Operating Officer and Corporate Officer, became President and Representative Director in June 2014, and assumed the role of CEO in April 2015. Since September 2020, he has also served as Head of Global Business of Takeda Pharmaceuticals U.S.A., Inc. Prior to joining Takeda, Weber held senior positions at GlaxoSmithKline, including President and General Manager of GlaxoSmithKline Vaccines and CEO of GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals SA.
Milano Furuta (born February 26, 1978) is Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Takeda, appointed CFO in April 2024 and Director in June 2024. He joined Takeda in 2010 and has held roles in corporate strategy, corporate development, and post-merger integration. Furuta has managed the Diabetes Business Unit in Mexico, served as General Manager in Sweden, Corporate Strategy Officer, Chief of Staff in Japan, and President of the Japan Pharma Business Unit. Before Takeda, he worked as an equity research analyst at Taiyo Pacific Partners L.P. and in banking and private equity at The Industrial Bank of Japan, Limited.
Andrew S. Plump, M.D., Ph.D. (born October 13, 1965) is Director and President of Research and Development at Takeda. He joined the company in 2015 as Chief Medical and Scientific Officer and leads global research and development. Previously, Plump was Senior Vice President of Research and Translational Medicine at Sanofi and spent over ten years at Merck in Clinical Pharmacology.
Masami Iijima (born September 23, 1950) has served as External Director and Chair of the Board of Directors at Takeda since June 2022. He was an External Director and Audit and Supervisory Committee member from June 2021 to June 2022.
