Simon Johnson, 55, has served as President and Chief Executive Officer since March 2022. He has 29 years of international experience with offshore drilling contractors, including Seadrill, Diamond Offshore, Noble Corporation, and Borr Drilling. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Grant Creed, 45, has been Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since May 2021. He joined Seadrill in 2013 and has held various roles, including Chief Restructuring Officer. He is a chartered accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Port Elizabeth.
Samir Ali, 40, has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer since August 2022. His previous experience includes positions at Diamond Offshore, Bain Capital, and Simmons & Company. He holds a degree in Finance and International Business from New York University.
Torsten Sauer-Petersen, 53, has been Executive Vice President since March 2022 and Chief Technology and Sustainability Officer since August 2025. He joined Seadrill in 2011 and has over 25 years of experience in drilling, including work at Maersk Drilling. He holds an MBA from IMD in Lausanne.
Todd Strickler, 48, has served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel since February 2023. He has over 15 years of experience in offshore drilling and oilfield services, with previous roles at Wellbore Integrity Services, Paragon Offshore, and Noble Drilling. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Doctor of Law from the University of Texas.
Marcel Wieggers, 53, has been Senior Vice President, Operations since December 2023. He has over 25 years of experience in offshore drilling, including more than 15 years at Seadrill, where he progressed from Toolpusher.
