Christopher Gerteisen, age 51, has served as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director since September 2019. He oversees the subsidiaries AK Custom Mining LLC, Alaska Range Resources LLC, and AK Operations LLC. Gerteisen has over 30 years of experience as a professional geologist specializing in gold and copper projects across North America, Australia, and Asia. He holds a Bachelor of Geology from the University of Idaho and a Master’s degree in Economic Geology from the Western Australia School of Mines. Michael Melamed, age 48, has been Chief Financial Officer since July 2015. He has more than 25 years of experience in financial and executive management, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate advisory. Melamed holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Finance from the University of Technology, Sydney, and is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia. He manages the same subsidiaries as Gerteisen and also serves as CFO of Viridis Mining and Minerals. Richard Beazley, age 60, has been Non-Executive Chairman and Non-Executive Director since July 23, 2024. He has held senior roles including CEO and Managing Director of Troy Resources Limited since September 2021, and has experience as COO of Sandfire Resources NL, and General Manager at Consolidated Minerals, St Barbara Limited, and Aditya Birla Group. Beazley is also Non-Executive Chairman of Metals Grove Mining Ltd and Non-Executive Director of Catalina Resources Ltd since 2022.
