Guido Baechler, age 60, has served as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director since July 2021. He has experience in private and public companies specializing in life science and medical diagnostics. Baechler founded Berkeley Life Science Advisors in 2019, was CEO of SummerBio from July 2020 to February 2021, and served as CEO and COO of Singulex, Inc. from 2008 to 2019. He held leadership roles at Roche Molecular Systems and Roche Diagnostics. Baechler was a board member of Telo Genomics from 2020 to March 2026. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and completed executive education at the London School of Business and Haas Business School.
William Caragol, age 59, is the Chief Financial Officer with over 30 years of experience in growth-stage technology companies. He founded Quidem LLC in 2018, served as COO and CFO of Iron Horse Acquisitions Corp. from 2021 to 2025, and has been director and CFO of Iron Horse Acquisition II Corp. since 2024. Caragol has served on the board and as audit committee chairman of DeFi Development Corp. since 2023, on the board of Worksport Ltd. since 2021, and was on the board of Greenbox POS from 2021 to 2023. He holds a B.S. in business administration and accounting from Washington & Lee University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Dr. Heiner Dreismann, age 72, has been a Non-Executive Director since December 2022. He worked at Roche Group from 1985 to 2006, including roles as President and CEO of Roche Molecular Systems and Head of Global Business Development for Roche Diagnostics. Dreismann has served on the boards of Myriad Genetics, Inc., Med BioGene, Inc., Genenews Limited, Interpace Diagnostics, and Ignyta, Inc. He holds an M.S. in biology and a Ph.D. in microbiology/molecular biology from Westfaelische Wilhelms University.
Hans Hekland, age 67, has been a Non-Executive Director since November 2021. He earned an MBA from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in 1983. Hekland held executive positions in banking and industry until 2001, after which he established Sarsia Innovation as a tech-transfer office and developed it into a venture fund management company. He holds board positions in several healthcare and biotechnology companies.
