Dr. Patrick Amstutz, Ph.D., age 50, is Chief Executive Officer and Director of Molecular Partners. He co-founded the company and has been CEO since November 2016, an executive director since 2017, and part of management since 2004. He served as Chief Operating Officer from 2014 to 2016 and Chief Business Officer from 2006 to 2014. He holds a Master of Science from ETH Zurich and a Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of Zurich.
Renate Gloggner, age 55, is Executive Vice President of People and Community and a member of the Management Board since July 2022. She joined Molecular Partners in October 2021. Her previous roles include HR leadership positions at Global Blood Therapeutics and Tesaro Bio, as well as positions at Biogen and Amgen. She holds an MBA from the University of Bern and an executive coaching degree from the University of the West of England, Bristol.
Dr. Philippe Legenne, M.D., age 60, has been Chief Medical Officer and a Management Board member since September 2024. He served as acting Chief Medical Officer from September 2023 to August 2024 and was previously Vice President of Global Clinical Development and External Scientific Relations. Prior to joining Molecular Partners, he was Executive Medical Director at Amgen from April 2016 to September 2019. He holds an MBA from ESSEC Business School and an M.D. from Faculté de Médecine de Lille.
Dr. Martin Steegmaier, Ph.D., age 60, is Chief Scientific Officer and a Management Board member since October 2025. He was previously Chief Scientific Officer of SOTIO Biotech from September 2022 to September 2025 and held senior positions at MorphoSys, Roche, and Boehringer Ingelheim. He graduated from Northern Arizona University, holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Basel, and an MBA from Edinburgh Business School.
Dr. Michael Tobias Stumpp, Ph.D., age 53, is Executive Vice President of Projects and a Management Board member. He is a co-founder of Molecular Partners and part of the team that developed DARPin technology. He previously served as Chief Scientific Officer of Molecular Partners.
