Lars-Christian Svensen, age 40, has served as Chief Executive Officer of Himalaya Shipping since April 1, 2025. His 17-year career in international shipping includes positions as shipbroker at Cmarine Services (2007–2008), Project Analyst at Petredec Pte Ltd in Singapore (2008–2009), and various roles at Western Bulk from 2009 to 2020, including Head of Arabian Gulf, President in Seattle, and Senior Vice President in Oslo. From 2020 to 2024, he was Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Golden Ocean Management AS. Vidar Hasund, age 48, has been Chief Financial Officer of Himalaya Shipping since April 1, 2025. He also serves as Chief Financial Officer of 2020 Bulkers and Contracted Chief Financial Officer of Bruton Limited. His previous roles include Contracted Chief Financial Officer of Himalaya Shipping (2021–2023), Chief Accounting Officer of Borr Drilling (2017–2018), Financial Officer and International Tax Accounting Manager at PGS (2008–2017), Financial Controller at BW Gas ASA (2005–2007), and Auditor at KPMG (2002–2004). He holds a Master of Accounting and Auditing degree from the Norwegian School of Economics. Both officers are contracted through 2020 Bulkers Management AS and allocate significant portions of their working time to Himalaya Shipping, though they are not exclusively dedicated to the company.
