HilleVax Takes Measures to Stem Financial Losses, Announces Workforce Reduction

BOSTON, July 31, 2024 - HilleVax, Inc. (Nasdaq: HLVX), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company specializing in developing and commercializing innovative vaccines, has revealed plans to downsize its workforce in a bid to reduce operational expenses. The company intends to lay off approximately 41 employees, which amounts to around 40% of its workforce, as a strategic move to preserve cash while continuing the development of its HIL-214 and HIL-216 norovirus vaccine candidates, as well as drive business development activities in support of these vaccines.
