Business Description
HCP invests primarily in real estate serving the healthcare industry in the United
States. We are a self-administered, Maryland real estate investment trust ("REIT")
organized in 1985. We are headquartered in Long Beach, California, with offices
in Chicago, Illinois; Nashville, Tennessee; and San Francisco, California. We
acquire, develop, lease, dispose and manage healthcare real estate and provide
mortgage and other financing to healthcare providers. Our portfolio includes investments
in the following healthcare segments: (I) senior housing; (II) life science; (III)
medical office; (IV) hospital; and (V) skilled nursing.
