William K. Newton, age 62, serves as Chief Executive Officer and Director of Concentra. He has been on the company's Board of Directors since 2015 and resumed the CEO role that same year. Newton was President from 2015 to 2023 and Chairman of the Board from 2018 to 2022. His prior experience at Concentra and OccuSystems spans 1995 to 2011, including roles as President and COO from 2007 to 2011. He also served as President and COO of DentalOne Partners in 2011 and worked at Columbia HCA and Medical Care International from 1991 to 1995. Newton is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Texas A&M University, earned in 1985.
Matthew T. DiCanio, age 43, is President and Chief Financial Officer of Concentra. He became President in 2023 and CFO in 2024. DiCanio joined Concentra in 2015 as Senior Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development, was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2021, and led the community-based outpatient center division from 2016 to 2020. He managed the integration of the US HealthWorks acquisition between 2018 and 2020. Prior to Concentra, DiCanio was Principal and Co-Head of the healthcare vertical at a Dallas-based middle-market investment bank from 2012 to 2015, an investment banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from 2009 to 2012, and a CPA with KPMG, LLP from 2004 to 2007. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Richmond and an MBA in Finance and Economics from Columbia Business School.
John R. Anderson, DO, FACOEM, age 76, is Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Concentra. He has held the Chief Medical Officer position since 2014 and was appointed Executive Vice President in 2021. Anderson is a Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and board certified in occupational medicine and healthcare quality management. He is affiliated with multiple professional medical organizations and previously served on the Michigan Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council from 1988 to 2009 and on Wayne State University’s Occupational Medicine Resident Advisory Committee from 1996 to 2008. He earned his undergraduate degree from John Carroll University, his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University, and a Business of Medicine Executive Graduate Certificate from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Giovanni Gallara, PT, DPT, age 51, is Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Services Officer, a position he has held since 2021.
