Officers & Directors
Anat Cohen-Dayag, Ph.D., age 59, serves as Executive Chair of the Board of Directors. She was President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director until September 16, 2025. Cohen-Dayag joined Compugen in 2002, held senior managerial roles including Vice President of Research and Development, and led the company's transition into a therapeutic discovery and development firm. She holds a B.Sc. in Biology from Ben-Gurion University, and an M.Sc. in Chemical Immunology and a Ph.D. in Cellular Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science.
Eran Ophir, Ph.D., age 48, is President, Chief Executive Officer, and a Director. He served as Chief Scientific Officer until September 16, 2025. Ophir has been with Compugen since 2015, advancing from senior scientist to management team member in 2020. He holds a B.Sc. in Bioinformatics from Tel Aviv University, a Ph.D. in Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science, and completed postdoctoral research at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research in Switzerland.
Mathias Hukkelhoven, Ph.D., age 72, joined the Board of Directors in March 2022. He is a Venture Partner at Panacea Venture Management Company Ltd. and has extensive experience in global regulatory affairs and drug development, including leadership positions at PhRMA and Bristol Myers Squibb. Since retiring from Bristol Myers Squibb in July 2021, he has worked as a consultant and Senior Advisor for McKinsey and joined the Board of Directors of Centessa Pharmaceuticals plc on July 1, 2022.
