Daniel Widmaier, age 44, serves as Chief Executive Officer and Director. He co-founded Bolt Threads and has held the CEO and board member positions since August 2009. He also serves as CEO and board member of Bolt Projects Holdings, Inc. since the Closing. Widmaier holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Washington and a Ph.D. in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from the University of California, San Francisco.
David Breslauer, age 41, is Chief Technology Officer and Director. He co-founded Bolt Threads and has been CTO and board member since August 2009. He also serves as CEO and board member of Bolt Projects Holdings, Inc. since the Closing. Breslauer advises multiple biotechnology companies and holds a B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego, as well as a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley and the University of California, San Francisco.
Randy Befumo, age 53, is Interim Chief Financial Officer. He has served as interim CFO of Bolt Threads since April 2023 and of Bolt Projects Holdings, Inc. since the Closing. Befumo was previously CFO of Bolt Threads from April 2020 to April 2023 and has been interim CFO for Protecht, Inc. since May 2023. He is a former CFO and Chief Strategy Officer of Eventbrite and has advised private software and pharmaceutical companies. Befumo also held roles as Director of Research, analyst, and portfolio manager at Legg Mason Capital Management. He holds a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Study from the College of William & Mary.
Cintia Nardi, age 51, is President. She served as COO of Bolt Threads from February 2022 to November 2023 and has been President of Bolt Projects Holdings, Inc. since the Closing. Nardi was formerly COO and board member of Cosmetica Laboratories Inc. from July 2017 to January 2022 and Executive Director of Quality Assurance and Operations at Estée Lauder Companies Inc. from September 2002 to July 2017. She holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the Catholic University of Argentina.
Paul Slattery, age 38, is General Counsel and Secretary. He has been General Counsel of Bolt Threads since August 2023 and of Bolt Projects Holdings, Inc. since the Closing. Slattery was previously General Counsel and Outside General Counsel for Eleusis Holdings, LTC from December 2020 to August 2023 and an Associate at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP from October 2012 to December 2020. He holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.S. and A.B. in Economics and Literature from Duke University.
