1. Ugur Sahin - CEO and Co-founder: Dr. Ugur Sahin is a Turkish-German immunologist and oncology researcher. He received his medical training at the Universities of Cologne and Zurich and holds a Ph.D. in medicine from the University of Cologne. Dr. Sahin founded BioNTech SE in 2008 with his wife, Dr. ezlem Tereci.
2. ezlem Tereci - Chief Medical Officer and Co-founder: Dr. ezlem Tereci is a Turkish-German physician-scientist specializing in immunology and oncology. She received her medical degree from the University of Essen and her Ph.D. in immunology from the University of Homburg. Dr. Tereci co-founded BioNTech SE with her husband, Dr. Ugur Sahin, in 2008.
3. Sean Marett - Chief Business and Commercial Officer: Sean Marett has been with BioNTech SE since 2011 and served as the Chief Operating Officer before being appointed Chief Business and Commercial Officer. He has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and previously held various senior positions at Merck KGaA.
4. Sierk Poetting - Chief Financial Officer: Sierk Poetting joined BioNTech SE in 2014 and has since then held the position of Chief Financial Officer. He has over 15 years of experience in corporate finance and previously worked at Merck KGaA, Deutsche Bank, and Citibank.
