William Aziz, born in 1956, is an independent director and serves as President and CEO of BlueTree Advisors Inc., a private management advisory firm. He is a director and Chair of the Audit Committee at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. and a member of the Advisory Board for Fengate Real Assets. Aziz was a director of the Ontario Municipal Employees’ Retirement System from 2009 to 2019. He holds an Honors Business Administration degree from the Ivey School of Business at Western University, is a Chartered Professional Accountant, and holds the ICD.D designation.
Arun Banskota, born in 1961, is a director with over 30 years of experience in renewable energy development, construction, financing, and operations. He served as CEO of Algonquin from February 2020 until August 2023 and has managed multiple large business units and start-ups in clean technology. Banskota holds a Master of Arts from the University of Denver and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Debora Del Favero, born in 1964, is an independent director with extensive international experience in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance within the renewables sector. She co-founded CMC Capital Limited, a UK-based corporate finance advisory firm. Del Favero held senior roles at Credit Suisse in London and New York for over 17 years, including Managing Director and member of the Energy and M&A Groups. She holds a Master of Arts in Economics and Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy.
Brenda Eprile, born in 1954, is an independent director serving on various public and private boards. She chairs the board of Global Container Terminals Inc. and is a board member and chair of the Human Resources Committee at Westport Fuel Systems Inc., a company listed on the TSX and NASDAQ. Eprile has been a director of Westport since 2013 and served as Chair of the Board from 2017 to 2020.
