Officers & Directors
Meshal Ali, age 60, has served as Chair of the Board of Directors and as a Director since April 1, 2024. He is CEO of OSN Group, Chair of Al Rayan Holding Company, Vice Chair of United Education Company, and President and CEO of the National Offset Company and the National Offset Computer Company in Kuwait. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas.
Elias Habib, age 53, is Chief Executive Officer and Director. He is a co-founder of Anghami and its former Chief Technology Officer, and served as chairman of the Board until the closing of the OSN transaction. Previously, he co-founded and was CTO of PowerMeMobile, worked as IT Manager at Naharnet, and developed an e-commerce store for Getforless. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from Lebanese American University.
Laura Herbin, age 45, is Chief Financial Officer of Anghami and OSN. She has held senior roles at OSN for seven years and spent 13 years at PwC across multiple regions. She is a certified Management Accountant and holds a Master’s in Finance from Audencia Business School, a Master of Science from The Ohio State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Lille.
Edgard Maroun, age 50, is a Director and co-founder of Anghami. He has been on Anghami’s Board since 2012 and was CEO until the closing of the OSN transaction. He manages business development and strategic partnerships. Previously, he was VAS Manager at PowerMeMobile. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Master’s in Private Law from University of La Sagesse, a Master’s in International Business from Bordeaux Business School, and an MBA from Notre Dame University, Lebanon.
James Cooke, age 46, has served as a Director since July 23, 2025. He is Group Senior Vice President and General Manager for Central and Eastern Europe, North Africa, and Turkey at Warner Bros. Discovery, responsible for non-scripted content acquisition across EMEA and Discovery networks.
Michael Johnson, age 66, has served as a Director since April 1, 2024. He is a Certified Management Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, fellow of the Institute of Directors (UK), and senior accredited director of the Institute of Directors (Singapore). He serves on the boards of Panther Media Group Limited, MIG Holding Ltd, Preminen MENA Price Comparison W.L.L, and Ace Gallagher W.L.L. He holds a Master of Laws in International Business Law from University of Liverpool, a Bachelor of Law from Open University, and an MBA and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Wayne State University.
