AC Immune SA was co-founded in 2003 by Andrea Pfeifer, Ph.D., who serves as Chief Executive Officer and Director. Pfeifer led the company through its initial public offering in 2016. She has over 30 years of experience in senior research and development and business leadership roles within the life sciences industry, including serving as Head of the Nestlé Research Centre in Lausanne. Pfeifer holds a Ph.D. in Toxicology from the University of Würzburg, Germany, and is an Honorary Professor at EPFL.
Christopher Roberts has been Chief Financial Officer since 2022, having joined AC Immune in 2019. He previously worked for over ten years at Ernst & Young and is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS). Roberts holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Auditing, and Finance from Lancaster University.
Piergiorgio Donati joined AC Immune in 2018 as Director of Global Program Management and was appointed Chief Technical Operations Officer in 2020. He has extensive experience in research and development project management as well as chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC) process and product development strategies in senior pharmaceutical roles.
