Novaccess Global Inc's Comment on Supply Chain

The company faces various risks related to suppliers, sourcing, and raw materials, including equipment malfunctions, natural disasters, regulatory changes, and manufacturers failing to meet contractual obligations. Manufacturing its immunotherapy products involves complex processes requiring specialized facilities and personnel, which are scarce in the industry. This complexity results in long lead times for equipment procurement, personnel training, and regulatory approvals. Alternative qualified production capacity may not be available in a timely manner or at all. Manufacturing and supply challenges could disrupt clinical trials, increase costs, harm the company's reputation, and reduce revenue or market share. The company currently lacks experience in scaling up manufacturing for commercialization, a necessary step if its TLR-AD1 and IDH1 product candidates receive approval. Due to the novel nature of active immune therapies, which involve living cells and personalized treatments, few industry consultants possess relevant scale-up experience. The company references Dendreon Corporation, which encountered significant difficulties scaling up its Provenge® product. Additionally, CAR-T products have only been scaled to moderate volumes. While IDH1 biomarker products present fewer scale-up challenges, they still require reliable manufacturing capacity.
