The company sources food, packaging, equipment, and other products through a supplier approval process to ensure quality and food safety. The Tim Hortons segment operates two coffee roasting facilities for proprietary blends and contracts for green coffee beans to manage supply and price fluctuations. A dedicated fondant and fills manufacturing facility supplies ready-to-use glaze, fondants, fills, and syrups for Tim Hortons products in Canada and the U.S. Additional Tim Hortons Canada products are purchased from qualified suppliers and distributed through nine distribution centers, five of which are company-owned, supported by trucking assets. In the U.S., Tim Hortons products are supplied via third-party distributors. Burger King and Popeyes source products globally from third-party suppliers and collaborate with purchasing cooperatives to negotiate terms and manage distribution. Burger King uses seven distributors in the U.S., with four servicing 92% of its restaurants. Popeyes uses ten broadline distributors, with four servicing 83% of its restaurants. Burger King has volume commitment agreements for soft drink syrup purchases with The Coca-Cola Company and Dr. Pepper/Snapple, Inc., expected to conclude in approximately three and seven years, respectively, as of December 31, 2025.
