Dyadic employs manufacturing partners for its research, development, and commercial operations. The company developed the C1 gene expression platform, derived from the Thermothelomyces heterothallica fungus, to produce industrial enzymes and proteins. Dyadic has licensed this technology to third parties, including Abengoa Bioenergy, BASF SE, and Codexis, Inc. Following the sale of certain industrial technology assets to Danisco USA, the industrial biosciences division of DuPont, Dyadic retained rights to the C1 platform for pharmaceutical applications and may receive royalties from sublicensing. The company has expanded its focus to commercialize recombinant proteins and enzymes for non-pharmaceutical markets through the Dapibus™ Protein Production Platform. Dyadic has recently commercialized recombinant protein products via collaborations and internal production, including AlbuFree™ DX recombinant human albumin with Proliant Health and Biologicals, and recombinant DNase I in collaboration with Fermbox Bio for research and molecular biology applications.
