Business Description
We are largely focused on leisure travel. For more than 50 years, Travel and Leisure Co. has been a pioneer in the travel membership industry. Through our business expansions, Panorama Travel Solutions and the Travel and Leisure Group, we want to accelerate the growth of our worldwide companies by bolstering the strength of our cornerstone timeshare and exchange businesses and adding depth to our leisure travel goods and services.
BUSINESS OF VACATION OWNERSHIP
Consumers can share ownership of fully-furnished holiday lodgings in the vacation ownership sector, often known as the timeshare industry. A customer often obtains a title to a fraction of a unit through a points-based system or a right to use a property for a particular amount of time through a weekly interval system. A vacation ownership interest (VOI) is what this is called. Owners who use a points-based system frequently have prior reservation privileges for a certain destination and are able to redeem their points for a variety of unit types and/or locations. Points owners may also change the length and frequency of product usage.
Overview of Vacation Ownership
Our Vacation Ownership reportable division includes our Wyndham Destinations branded business line, the worlds biggest vacation ownership company. We create and purchase vacation ownership resorts, advertise and sell VOIs, provide consumer financing for the majority of transactions, and operate property owners organizations.
Travel and Membership Overview
Panorama and the Travel + Leisure Group, two of our branded business lines, manage a variety of travel companies, including three vacation ownership exchange brands, travel clubs, direct-to-consumer rentals, and a home exchange network. These are largely Fee-for-Service enterprises that sell third-party inventory and generate consistent revenue streams and significant cash flow.
