A high-performance, low-latency infrastructure for capturing data in motion must be available wherever the customers applications and systems are located. Customers that have applications in a certain cloud provider and area would use Confluent Cloud in that cloud provider and region. Customers with on-premises or private cloud applications would utilize Confluent Platform in that data center. Customers who have both on-premises and cloud infrastructures, or even several clouds, require Confluent in each. These technologies, when combined, can serve as an uniform fabric for data streams connecting all of these consumer contexts.
