Concho Resources Inc's Comment on Sales, Marketing and Customers
We sell our oil and natural gas production principally to marketers and other
purchasers that have access to pipeline facilities. In areas where there is no
practical access to pipelines, oil is transported to storage facilities by trucks
and rail owned or otherwise arranged by the marketers or purchasers. Our marketing
of oil and natural gas can be affected by factors beyond our control, the effects
of which cannot be accurately predicted.
Revenues from oil and natural gas sales to Plains Marketing and Transportation,
Inc. and Holly Frontier Refining and Marketing, LLC accounted for approximately
29 percent and 16 percent, respectively, of our total operating revenues. While
the loss of either of these purchasers may result in a temporary interruption
in sales of, or a lower price for, our production, we believe that the loss
of either of these purchasers would not have a material adverse effect on our
operations, as there are alternative purchasers in our producing regions.
