Cidara Therapeutics, Inc. develops drug-Fc conjugate immunotherapies using its proprietary Cloudbreak platform for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical markets. Its lead clinical-stage asset, CD388, is intended for influenza prophylaxis. CD388 was developed in partnership with J&J Innovative Medicine, formerly Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a Janssen Pharmaceutical Company of Johnson & Johnson. Cidara reacquired worldwide rights to develop and commercialize CD388 through a license and technology transfer agreement with Janssen. The company completed a private placement led by RA Capital Management, with participation from Bain Capital Life Sciences, Biotech Value Fund, and Canaan Partners, to fund CD388 development. Additionally, Cidara divested rezafungin, its sole non-Cloudbreak asset, selling it to Napp Pharmaceutical Group Limited, an affiliate of Mundipharma Medical Company, which holds the license for rezafungin outside the U.S. and Japan.
