These trials include the PALM 007 trial in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, funded and sponsored by the National Institutes of Health's (NIH) National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID); the STOMP clinical trial, also sponsored and funded by NIAID, enrolling participants from Argentina, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, Peru, Thailand, and the United States; and the UNITY clinical trial, funded and sponsored by ANRS-Emerging Infectious Diseases, with enrollees from Switzerland, Brazil, and Argentina. The PALM 007 and STOMP studies did not achieve their primary endpoints of statistically significant improvement in time to lesion resolution, although some subgroup improvements were observed. Additional analyses are ongoing.
