The company serves customers annually with approximately 17.3 million policies and 1.6 million rental contracts across Canada, the U.S., Europe, and the U.K., and provides over 0.8 million long-term contracted sub-metering services in Canada and the U.S. It has facilitated approximately 8.9 million connections, primarily for electricity and natural gas, and manages about 3.1 million installed meters in Australia and New Zealand. In transportation, the company operates a global fleet of about 7 million intermodal containers, six port terminals in the U.K., a liquefied natural gas export terminal in the U.S. with a capacity of 30 million tonnes per annum, 21,000 kilometers of railroad track in North America and Europe, 5,500 kilometers in Western Australia, and 9,800 kilometers in Brazil. It also manages railcars and locomotives across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Toll road operations include over 3,000 kilometers of motorways in Brazil. The midstream segment includes natural gas storage of approximately 280 billion cubic feet in the U.S. and Canada, 16 processing plants in Canada with a capacity of 5.6 billion cubic feet per day, 19,500 kilometers of pipelines in the U.S. and Canada, polypropylene production capacity in Canada, and four U.S. terminals with a combined tank capacity of 685,000 barrels. The data segment operates over 300,000 telecom towers in India, France, Germany, Austria, and the U.K., 77,000 kilometers of fiber optic cable in Australia, Brazil, and the U.S., more than 80 distributed antenna systems in the U.K., and 720,000 fiber-to-the-premise connections in Australia and the U.S. It also operates two semiconductor manufacturing foundries in the U.S. and manages over 150 data centers with 1.2 gigawatts of critical load capacity and 1.1 gigawatts of contracted capacity. These operations serve markets including telecommunications, fiber, data storage, transportation of freight, commodities, and passengers, as well as energy transmission and storage.
