Mostafa Kandil, age 33, is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Swvl. He co-founded the company and has served as CEO since 2017. Prior to Swvl, Kandil worked at Rocket Internet, where he launched Carmudi in the Philippines and served as Head of Operations, and at Careem supporting its expansion. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum and Energy Engineering from the American University in Cairo, earned in 2014.
Ahmed Misbah, age 30, has been Chief Financial Officer of Swvl since February 2025. He joined Swvl's finance leadership team in June 2021, holding positions including Group Finance Manager, Head of Finance, and Director of Finance. Misbah has overseen accounting, reporting, cash management, budgeting, treasury, tax, and compliance functions, and contributed to financing milestones and the company's Nasdaq listing. Before joining Swvl, he worked as an associate and senior associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He graduated from the American University in Cairo in 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
Ahmed Sabbah, age 31, is a co-founder of Swvl and has served on its Board since 2018. He was Chief Technology Officer from 2017 to January 2021. In February 2021, Sabbah co-founded Telda, a financial technology company, where he currently serves as Managing Director and CEO. He graduated from The German University in Cairo.
