- Gary Steele: He co-founded Proofpoint in 2002, and has held various positions in the company, including CEO, Executive Chairman, and Chief Strategy Officer. Before Proofpoint, he was the founder and CEO of Portera Systems, which was later acquired by IBM. He has also held executive positions at Sybase, Sun Microsystems, and HP. Steele holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Washington State University.
- Bhagwat Swaroop: He was the Chief Operating Officer of Proofpoint from 2015 to 2020. Prior to joining Proofpoint, he was the Executive Vice President of Products and Engineering at Riverbed Technology. Swaroop also held leadership positions at Cisco Systems and Akamai Technologies. He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
- Tracey E. Newell: She joined Proofpoint's Board of Directors in 2020. Newell is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at NortonLifeLock, a cybersecurity company. She previously held executive positions at Cisco Systems, Symantec Corporation, and Veritas Technologies. Newell has a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of the Pacific.
- Robert Darren Lee: He is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Email Security and Protection at Proofpoint. Lee has over two decades of experience in the cybersecurity industry, and has held leadership positions at companies such as Symantec, Blue Coat Systems, and HP. He has a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Liverpool.
- Eric Hahn: He is a co-founder of Proofpoint and currently serves as a Board member. Hahn has also co-founded and served as CEO for various technology companies, including Collabra Software, which was later acquired by Netscape. He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
