Michael Flax, DDS, age 72, has served as Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer since March 19, 2024. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, a member of the American Association of Endodontics, and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. Dr. Flax holds a certificate in Endodontics from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine (1986), a D.D.S. from Georgetown University Dental School (1981), an M.S. in chemistry from St. John’s University (1977), and a B.A. in chemistry and engineering from Miami University. He is licensed to practice dentistry in Florida, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia. Stewart Lonky, M.D., age 79, has been a Director since November 5, 2004. He co-founded Trylon Corporation, served as Chief Medical Officer from 1990 to 2005, and has been an advisor to Histologics, LLC since 2005. Dr. Lonky is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. He was a faculty member at the University of California, San Diego, and an NIH Postdoctoral Fellow from 1974 to 1977. He has published extensively on cervical cancer and cellular pathophysiology. Garry R. Pottruck, age 69, has been a Director since July 2009 and serves as Chairman of the Audit and Compensation Committees. Since January 2011, he has been a tax principal at Blum and Blum CPA firm. Previously, he was a partner at Friedberg and Pottruck, PA from 1997 to 2011 and held financial executive roles from 1984 to 1994. Mr. Pottruck is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Florida and holds a B.S. in Accounting from C.W. Post School of Professional Accountancy at Long Island University (1979). Dale Vanderputten, PhD, age 66, has been Chief Scientific Officer since July 27, 2016. He has served as CEO and CSO of Omnia Biologics, Inc. since 2003 and was COO and CSO of DirectGene, Inc. from 1999 to 2003. Dr. Vanderputten has held scientific and technology development roles in government, academia, and industry.
