Ofer Gonen, age 53, has served as Chief Executive Officer of MediWound Ltd. since July 2022. He has over 20 years of senior executive experience in the biopharmaceutical and life sciences sectors. His previous roles include CEO of Clal Biotechnology Industries Ltd. and managing partner at Anatomy Medical Technology Fund. He co-founded Cactus Acquisition Corp. 1 and ARTE Venture Group and has been a director of several life sciences companies. Gonen holds a B.Sc. from Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an M.A. from Tel Aviv University.
Shmulik Hess, age 53, has been Chief Operating Officer of MediWound Ltd. since December 2023. He has over 20 years of experience in drug development and commercial operations. Hess previously served as CEO of Tabby Therapeutics, Enlivex Therapeutics, and Valin Technologies, and was a global operations executive at SciGen Ltd. He holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science from Hebrew University and was a research fellow at Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology.
Ety Klinger, age 64, has been Chief Medical Officer of MediWound Ltd. since January 2026. She was previously Chief Research and Development Officer from May 2014. Klinger served as Vice President of R&D at Proteologics Ltd and held leadership roles in Teva’s global innovative R&D division, contributing to the development of Copaxone. She holds a B.Sc. in Biology from Hebrew University, an M.S. and Ph.D. in Biochemistry, and an MBA from Tel Aviv University and Northwestern University.
Hani Luxenburg, age 53, has been Chief Financial Officer of MediWound Ltd. since May 2023. She has over 20 years of leadership experience in financial and accounting operations. Luxenburg was previously CFO at BIRD Aerosystems and held senior finance positions at AstraZeneca, Alvarion Technologies Ltd., and Ernst & Young. She is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Accounting from the University of Haifa.
