Frank D. Heuszel, age 69, is the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Impact Biomedical Inc., a Texas-based multinational company. He assumed the roles of Chairman and CEO on August 23, 2024, and has been a board member since 2020. Heuszel oversees the company's strategic direction, growth, daily operations, and governance. Prior to joining Impact Biomedical, he served as CEO of DSS, Inc., a NYSE American-listed company, from April 2019 to August 2024 and was a board member there from July 2018. Heuszel has over 40 years of experience in commercial banking, having held senior executive positions including General Counsel, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of Internal Audit. He is an attorney, retired Certified Public Accountant, retired Certified Internal Auditor, and Certified Trust and Financial Advisor. He also serves as a director of Herring Bank of Amarillo, Texas, and Herring Bancorp, Inc. Heuszel holds degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and South Texas College of Law.
Mark Suseck, age 65, has been Chief Operating Officer of Impact Biomedical since August 2023. He previously served as COO of DSS BioHealth Holdings Inc. from 2020 to 2023, where he was responsible for strategy, operations, licensing, acquisitions, and commercialization. From 2021 to 2022, Suseck was CEO of Vivacitas Oncology Inc.
