Security Midwest Bancorp's Comment on Sales, Marketing and Customers



The company provides liquidity to customers requiring funds for borrowing and deposit withdrawals, including CRB customers with cash-related needs. Liquidity is managed through deposits, principal and interest payments on loans and securities, and proceeds from sales, maturities, and calls of securities. The company also obtains borrowings from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago and a private bankers' bank. It aims to maintain a liquidity ratio of 20.0% or higher and reported an average ratio of 44.8% in 2025. Excess liquid assets are invested in cash, cash equivalents, and short- and intermediate-term securities. As of December 31, 2025, cash and cash equivalents totaled $50.4 million, and available-for-sale investment securities amounted to $76.7 million. Operating, investing, and financing activities resulted in a net increase in cash and cash equivalents of $6.8 million for the year ended December 31, 2025.
