Xl Fleet 's Comment on Supply Chain
We buy lighting and infrastructure equipment from key national and international equipment vendors for our XL Grid company. Our energy efficiency and infrastructure solutions are installed and implemented by a professional group of subcontractors.
To support the installation of our product via the industry standard ship-thru and upfit procedures, we rely on an established upfitter partner network with sites throughout the United States and Canada in our Power Drive business. We or our upfitters arrange for the acquisition of the vehicle chassis in which our items are fitted by our clients. This necessitates early planning and collaboration between us and the OEM to schedule chassis manufacturing and vehicle specs to assure adherence with our product standards.
Many of the main components and materials utilized in our electric powertrain systems are provided and developed by third-party sources. While we try to get components from many, redundant suppliers wherever feasible, certain of the components utilized in our cars are obtained from a single or restricted number of sources. We rely on a single supplier, Parker Hannifin Corporation, for motor component supply under a three-year non-exclusive supply agreement with volume and pricing obligations. In the case of batteries, we rely on many suppliers.
