Excluding transportation new orders advanced by $3,090 millions or 0.82 % to $381,332 millions. Excluding defense new orders increased by $14,333 millions or 3.24 % to $457,325 millions.

Shipments for all manufacturing industries went up by $1,710 millions or 0.37 % to $464,722 millions.
Excluding transportation shipments advanced by $3,013 millions or 0.79 % to $384,061 millions. Excluding defense shipments increased by $1,796 millions or 0.40 % to $452,207 millions.
